• Introduction to embryology and craniofacial growth.
• Vascularization, innervation, and lymphatic drainage
of the maxillary regions
ANATOMICAL BASICS RELEVANT TO
IMPLANT SURGERY
• Upper jaw:
Nasal fossae – Infraorbital nerve – Greater palatine artery –
Maxillary sinus
• Lower jaw:
Facial artery – Mental foramen – Inferior alveolar nerve

and nerve risk
• Access incisions to the maxilla, frontal region, and
lateral-posterior region
• Maxillary sinus, tuberosity-pterygoid region,
orbital-malar region, and nasal area
• Dissection of the lower orbital-palpebral region and the
zygomatic bone
Insertion of endosseous implants in the relevant anatomical areas

• Access incisions to the intraoral mandibular regions
• Isolation of the lingual nerve
• Isolation of the lower alveolar emergence.
• Bone harvesting from the chin and ramus and apposition grafting
• Isolation and lateralization of the alveolar nerve

Prof. Francesco Grecchi

Former head of the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at the Galeazzi Institute
in Milan, Dr. Francesco Grecchi specializes in orthognathic, dysmorphic, reconstructive, and pre-prosthetic surgery.
Co-author of over 100 Co-author of over 100
publications in national and international journals, Dr. Grecchi is the creator
of One Step Oral Rehabilitation, an innovative technique for maxillary reconstruction
with implant-prosthetic rehabilitation.

Dott. Ramon Boninsegna

Graduated with honors from the University of Brescia, he specialized in Odontostomatological Surgery at the University of Milan and obtained a PhD in Morphological Sciences. Adjunct professor of Human Anatomy at the University of Brescia, teaching “Anatomy of the Stomatognathic System.”
Founding member of the Italian Society of Specialists in Odontostomatological and Oral Surgery (SISCOO); founding member of the Italian Society for Orofacial Pain Studies (SISDO). Co-author of numerous scientific publications and author of several books on the subject of stomatognathic system anatomy.

He is a member of the Italian Society of Specialists in Odontostomatological and Oral Surgery (SISCOO) and a founding member of the Italian Society for Orofacial Pain Studies (SISDO). Founding member
of the Italian Society of Specialists in Odontostomatological
and Oral Surgery (SISCOO); founding member of the Italian Society for the Study of Orofacial Pain
(SISDO). He is co-author of over 20 full-length publications in national
and international journals.

Dott. Rosario Acampora

Specialized in “Dental Surgery” at the State University of Reims. Formerly an adjunct professor
teaching Gnathology in Implant Prosthetics at
University of Bari. Specialized in reconstructive periodontal surgery
at the University of Naples Federico II. Director of the Implant Prosthetics Surgery Department
at the ARF Dental Center in Naples. Member of ANDI and AIOP, author of
various scientific publications in national and international journals, and speaker at
various national and international conferences.

Dott. Alessio Acquadro

He graduated in 2017 from the Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio. Since 2018, he has been working
as a freelancer at his offices in Turin and Aosta. In 2023, he took on
the role of Medical Director at the Osservatorio Odontoiatrico clinic
at the COI headquarters within the Dental School of Turin. He is a member of important associations
such as SIPRO ITI ICP and AIOP. In 2021, he won the “Major Educational
Award 2020/2021.”
He collaborates with the University of Ferrara in teaching prosthetic technologies.

Dott. Emiliano Ferrari

After graduating in dentistry from the University of Bologna in 1996, he
attended annual advanced training courses and, in 2010-2012, he attended
an advanced training course at New York University (New York, NY) and
in June 2012 he obtained the American postgraduate certificate in implantology
and oral rehabilitation .
He is currently a tutor for the I.A.N.Y.U.P. program at New York University.

Dott. Francesco La Via

Graduated in 2016 from the University of Brescia, he works at
“Studio dentistico Martina” in Ospitaletto (BS). He mainly deals with
Prosthetics and Implant Surgery with particular attention to the “Computer
Guided” approach. He has always been passionate about bone reconstruction techniques and, as a student of
Dr. Mauro Merli’s school, he has attended numerous courses on the subject and currently
routinely performs bone regeneration procedures in his practice.

Graduated in dentistry in 2021 and in dental hygiene in 2014 from the University
of Brescia, he works at the Martina Dental Clinic in Ospitaletto
(BS). He specializes in prosthetics and oral surgery. Over the years, he has attended numerous
courses on periodontology and prosthetics. He currently treats periodontal patients in his practice
and manages his team of hygienists.

Dott. Luca Ortensi

Formerly adjunct professor in the Department of Dentistry at the University of Catania,
UNICT, in the Prosthetics course in 2016/2022. Adjunct professor in the
Department of Dentistry at the University of Ferrara, UNIFE, in the Prosthetics course in
2021/2023. Graduated in dentistry and dental prosthetics in 1993 from the University
of Bologna. Member of several CAO commissions at the Order of Physicians
of Bologna. Former member of the CAO and the Council of the Order of Physicians of Bologna.

Prof. Massimo Pasi

Consultant in oral surgery and oral pathology until 2019 at the San Raffaele Institute, he was entrusted with teaching Odontostomatological Pathology
on the Master’s Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics
at the Vita-Salute University. Author of over 55 publications in Italian and international journals.
He is the author of the book “Oral Pathology and Oral Surgery” (2019), published by
