Yes, it is possible to mill the Magnum Solare with a K5 VHF CAD/CAM milling machine. The combination of low Vickers hardness and higher module of elasticity, compared to common cobalt-chrome discs on the market, make the material relatively “dry”, therefore perfect to be worked with a machine that mills without the aid of liquids. In these cases, a material improperly called “dry” is preferred, therefore in machining the removal of the chip is not based on the deformation of the material, but on the removal of the chip.
